He was predeceased by: his parents, David Wharton and Gladys C. Guyer (Miller); and his siblings, David E. Guyer, Charles L. Guyer, Patricia A. Hess, Wharton Guyer, Karl R. Guyer, Allen R. Guyer and George F. Guyer.
He is survived by: his wife Dolores Elaine Guyer (Winey); his children, Jay W. "Bill" Guyer, Jr. (Joanne) of Cocolamus, Kenneth W. Guyer (Ping Lin) of Mifflintown, John Darrell Guyer (Tammy) of McAlisterville and Karen E. Stutts (Roger) of Thompsontown; his grandchildren, Christopher Guyer (Kimberly), Amber Snyder (Sean), Matt Guyer (Jess), Derick Guyer, Lauryn Guyer (Mike Henry), Baila Lin Guyer, Brynne Gibson (Alex), Ashlyn Haubert (Eric), Clarye Guyer (Trey Tusing), Brooke Stutts (Corey Suter) and Walker Stutts; and his siblings, Dale O. Guyer of Thompsontown, Gloria DeLancey of Rockville, Carol J. Kemp of Thompsontown, Bonnie K. Guyer of Thompsontown, Catherine M. Cramer of Millerstown and Darlene J. Corrigan (Jim) of Lancaster. He is also survived by ten great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the East Salem Community Church (7398 PA-235, Mifflintown, PA 17059). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mr. Guyer's memory can be made to the Otterbein Global Methodist Church, 7398 Route 235, Mifflintown, PA 17059.
