He was predeceased by: his parents, James Bender and Frances Bender (Yetter); his brother Donald Bender; and his granddaughter Tristan. He is survived by: his wife Gloria J. Bender (Shirk); his children, James "Michael" Bender (Jean) of Mechanicsburg and Angela Rickert (Craig) of Lewistown; his siblings, Judy Romig of Lewistown and David Bender (Penny) of Lewistown; his grandchildren, Brittany, Zachary, Matthew, Riley and Hunter; and his great grandchildren, Kamari, Teej and Cayden.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jim's memory to Grace United Methodist Church, 101 Logan Street, Lewistown.
