He is survived by: his siblings, William Metzger (Josie) of Pahrump, Stephen Metzger (Lynn) of Ridgeway, Virginia, James Metzger (Terri) of Pittsburgh and Anne Lloyd (Russ) of Omaha, Nebraska; and his sister-in-law Rosie Metzger of Burnham. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
