He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward E. Lowrey and Florence Lowrey (Krebbs); his siblings, Edward E. "Peanuts" Lowrey, Jr., Robert E. "Bob" Lowrey, Jackson C. Lowrey, Mada Graham and Marilyn Guyer; and his half-sister Helen P. Ranck.
He is survived by: his children, Charles S. Lowrey, Jr. of Rawlins and Heather Lowrey-Bradshaw of Lewistown; his granddaughter Dianne Carnahan; and his siblings, Nancy J. Swartz of McAlisterville, Laurabelle D. Lowrey of Mifflintown, Richard L. "Boots" Lowrey of Fort Myers, Fla. and Jenny L. Lowrey of Mifflintown. He is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
