Barry Baker Morgan Obituary
Barry Baker Morgan, 77, of Lewistown, passed away at 6:38 a.m., Thursday, August 19, 2021, at William Penn Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Born July 4, 1944, in Lewistown, he was the only child of the late Charles "Tim" Gilbert Morgan and Erma L. (Baker) Morgan.
Barry is survived by: wife, Linda K. (Shawver) Morgan, whom he married Dec. 7, 1973; four children, Robin S. Roush, of Sproul, Jennifer L. Harbst and husband, Todd, of Lewistown, Loni B. Morgan and fiancé, Joshua A. Fryer, of Yeagertown, and Kelli J. Sheetz and husband, Jonathan, of Lewistown; and eight grandchildren, Maci Roush, Lynde and Jay Metzler, Madilyn Ritchey, Adam Fryer, and Lucas, Tyler and Cael Sheetz.
He was a graduate of Lewistown High School, Class of 1964.
Barry was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Lewistown.
He was employed by Arrow Shirt Factory, New Holland, and Masland Industries. He retired from Trinity Plastics as a mechanic.
Barry was an avid race fan and car enthusiast, especially dirt tracks and drag cars. He enjoyed everything from showing his classic corvette, drag racing his cars, and performing engine work during his tenure as a crew member for Garrison Racing. He was also a member of the All-American Car Club.
He enjoyed local sports and watching his grandsons play football, lacrosse and wrestle, and watching his granddaughters play sports.
A viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, Aug. 23, 2021, at Heller-Hoenstine Funeral Homes, Woodlawn, 200 North Main Street, Lewistown.
The funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Aug. 24, at the funeral home, with Pastor Buck Carolus officiating.
Interment will take place at Juniata Memorial Park.
