She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence W. Gessner and Alice Gessner (Berge); her former husband Donald L. Pfleegor; her husband Alvin Eugene Sherwood; her daughter Cynthia Ann Pfleegor Witmer; and her brothers, Sherman, Albert and Earl Gessner.
She is survived by: her son Gary A.; her daughter-in-law Sandra Pfleegor of Lewisburg; her daughters, Linda E. (Marvin D. Clayton) and Rebecca J. (Edward B. Moyer); her siblings, Maryjoyce Day of Lewisburg and Dale; and her sister-in-law Joyce Gessner of Lewisburg. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.
