He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldred Herman and Ruby Herman (Showers); and his wife Jane A. Herman (Kerlin). He is survived by: his children, John E. Herman, Janet Sampsell, Judith Dempsey, Jo Alice Griffin, Jeffrey Herman and Joyce Zellers. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren.
