We are sad to announce that on March 11, 2022, at the age of 93, John William Okkerse of Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, born in Cleveland, Ohio passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Okkerse and Jessie Okkerse (Heinz); his wife Marylou Mathies; his daughters, Debra and Dawn Okkerse; his grandson Michael Kroner; his great grandchild Liam Okkerse; and his sisters, Dorothy Hamilton, Marion Herwerden and Jacqueline Owen.
He is survived by: his children, Douglas J. Okkerse of Liverpool, Dale J. Okkerse, Sr. of West Milton, Duane J. (Paula Okkerse) and Darlene J.; his son-in-law David Swope of Watsontown; his grandchildren, Lauren, Madeline, Theodore, Isabelle Okkerse, Dale Okkerse Jr., Vanessa Criswell (Joshua), Vivian Guy (Anthony), Jennifer Cresswell and Jonathan Kroner (Nikki Zellers); and his great grandchildren, Rosalia Esparza, Kayden Okkerse, Owen Creswell, Noah, Lucas Criswell and Asher Kroner.
