He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey M. Taylor and Dorothy V. Taylor (Braun); his wife Ruth Pelton Deppen; and his son James E. Taylor Jr.. He is survived by: his daughter Sheri L. Taylor; his grandchildren, Shayanne N. Ordway (Robert), Oriana K. Hewa, James E. Taylor III and Brody A. Taylor; his great grandchild Leon; and his siblings, Gene H. Taylor (Georgia J.) and Sharon R. Howell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
