He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Ditzler and Mildred Ditzler; his wife Patricia "Patsy" Ditzler; his siblings, Bud (Arlene) and Arlene Pemper; and his in-law RoseMarie.

He is survived by: his brothers, Jerry (Kathey), Jack (Judy), Glenn (Sue) and McNesby; his in-laws, Jim (late Janet), Karen, Eileen, Nancy, Sue, Frank and Michael; and his children, Ronald W. Ditzler Jr. (Krissie), Annie Schofield, MaryBeth Shortt (Chris) and Patrick Ditzler.

Viewing was held on Monday, February 3rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM. A Mass was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Queen of the Universe (2443 Trenton Rd, Levittown, PA 19056). A burial was held on Tuesday, February 4th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Resurrection Cemetery (5201 Hulmeville Rd, Bensalem, PA 19020).
