He was predeceased by: his parents, Edith Monaghan (McGettigan) and James Monaghan; his siblings, James Monaghan, Kathleen Monaghan and Gerald Monaghan; and his stepson William Taft.
He is survived by: his children, Marcus M. Monaghan (Elizabeth) and Nicole A. Kelly (Thomas); his wife Maureen "Liz" Monaghan; his stepchildren, AnneMarie Taft (Joe), Leighanne King (Brian) and Bobby Taft; and his siblings, Gene Monaghan (Peggy), Patrick Monaghan (Robin), Margie Fassano (Sammy) and Colleen Fassano (Louie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
