He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Carmichael and Nellie Carmichael (Stephens); his wife Dorothy F. Carmichael (Terwilliger); and his sisters, Gerri Meier, Jean George and Marian Kough.
He is survived by: his children, John E. Carmichael (Rebecca) of Penn Twp, Raymond E. Carmichael of Level Green and Joanne L. Matthews (David J.) of Ligonier; his granddaughters, Jennifer Jenkin (Joshua) of San Diego, CA, Stephanie Kempen (Tom) of Swissvale and Susan Kerry (Steve) of Woodbine, MD; his great grandchildren, Aidan Kempen and Leanna Kerry; and his siblings, James, Richard, Robert Carmichael and Lillian Bowser.
Memorial contributions may be made, if desired, to any Salvation Army division.
