He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman N. and Mary N. Hoover (Reiff); his daughter Martha; his grandchildren, Dana and Janita Hoover; and his siblings, Aaron, John, Harvey, Martha, Anna and Frances.
He is survived by: his wife Esther E. (Martin); his children, Nelson (Susan), Walter Hoover of Leola, Aaron (Marian), Norman Jr. (Dorcas), Stevie Hoover of Leola, Elmer Hoover of Mohnton, Alice (Mervin Zimmerman) of Wisconsin and Esther Hoover of Leola; his siblings, Paul (Vera), Esther (Marvin Zimmerman) of Denver, Mary (David Zimmerman) of East Earl and Alta (Paul Zimmerman) of Shippensburg; and his sisters-in-law, Esther Hoover and Annie Hoover. He is also survived by 31 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hoover Residence (116 Locust St, Leola, PA 17540). A funeral service was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Groffdale Mennonite Church (90 Groffdale Church Rd, Leola, PA 17540).
