He was predeceased by: his parents, Aaron W. Horning and Esther M. Horning (Martin); his sons, Nelson and Warren; his sisters, Lydia Sauder (Aaron) and Emma Sauder (Mahlon); and his brothers-in-law, Aaron Sauder and Menno Nolt.
He is survived by: his wife Mabel S. Horning (Snyder); his sons, Harold Horning (Luella) of Plymouth, OH, Mervin Horning (Eileen) of Choteau, MT and Elam Jr. Horning (Ruthie) of Leola, PA; his sister Lena Nolt; and his brother-in-law Mahlon Sauder. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
