She was predeceased by: her parents, Bernard Miller and Carrie (Spidle); her husband Howard C. Backenstoss; her sons, William Backenstoss and Howard C. Backenstoss Jr.; and her siblings, Boyd Miller, Merle Miller, Russell Miller and Mildred Mountz.
She is survived by: her daughter Anna Mae Haddock; her grandchildren, Ronald H. Backenstoss and Angela H. Hugi; and her niece Shirley Altland. She is also survived by 5 other grandchildren as well as 15 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren.
