He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Gehring and Ellen Gehring (Boyd). He is survived by: his close friend Crystal Loar (Rehrig); his children, Rodger Gehring and Melissa Gehring; his siblings, Marvie Gehring, Dennis Gehring, Nancy Ehrenfried, Judy Lisella and Janice Edem; and his stepdaughters, Krista Leiby (Dennis) and Jennifer Rehrig. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
