He was predeceased by: his former wife Marilee L. Kleckner (Densmore); his father Edward Kleckner; and his sisters, Gertrude Tatusko, Kim E. Faust and Elizabeth DeLong.

He is survived by: his children, Rick Reding (Teresa), Frank Wilson (Paki), Todd Kleckner (Dierdre) and Erin Gursky (Matt); his brother Timothy E. Kleckner (Sandy); and his stepchildren, Marji Hines (Bob), Jacqueline Fisher and David King. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
