He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Y. Wetzel (Conrad); his parents, Lukas and Mary E. Wetzel (Frey); and his sisters, Janice Yale, Karan Wetzel and Shirley Wetzel.

He is survived by: his children, Meribeth A. Collette (John Pasko) of Allentown, Craig (Sue Kondravy) of Coplay, Drew of Lehighton and Adam of Northampton; and his brothers, Richard and Norman.
