It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John George Lucas in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, who passed away on October 3, 2022, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Lucas and Julia Lucas (Kellman); and his brother Edward J. Lucas Sr.. He is survived by: his wife Christine Lucas; his children, Katherine Lucas (Robert Merinsky) of Hamburg and John J. Lucas (Amy Slovick) of Orwigsburg; his siblings, Kenneth Lucas (Katherine) of Cumbola and Pauline Eltringham (Thomas) of Minersville; his aunt Irene Grabusky (Charles) of Seltzer; and his siblings-in-law, William Koons (Sally) of Shenandoah Heights and Mary Katherine Koons of Washington, D. C.. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations made to the Hillside SPCA, 5 SPCA Rd. Pottsville, Pa. 1901 Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home inc., Minersville entrusted with the arrangements.
