He was predeceased by: his father John R. Hammond; his grandparents, Dr. John C., Charlotte Hammond, Sever L. Hopperstead and Marjorie Hoch (Hopperstead); his uncle Richard I.; his aunt Katherine Lewis (Hammond); and his cousins, Daniel Lee Short, Nicky D. Lamaster and Jeff Blanchard.
He is survived by: his children, Olivia Marie Hammond and John Clarke Hammond II (Jake); his wife Dawn M. Hammond (Rotter); his mother Linda A. Hammond (Hopperstead) of Leesport, PA; his siblings, Amy (E. D. Lamaster) of Bridgeville, DE and John Hammond (Jay) of Felton, DE; his parents-in-law, Diana Blade of Coopersburg, PA and Paul Rotter (Debbie) of Port Charlotte, FL; and his brother-in-law Paul Rotter (Lesle) of Douglassville, PA. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
In lieu of flowers, a scholarship fund is being established for BCTC Culinary Arts students that plan to attend his alma mater, The Culinary Institute of America.
