He was predeceased by: his wife June M. Bordner (Blankenbiller); his parents, Arthur Bordner and Carrie Brown (Graham); his stepdaughter Sarah Fink; and his stepbrothers, John, Brian and Tommy Brown.

He is survived by: his daughter Kimberly A. Hoare (Bordner); his grandsons, Mason and Gavin; his sisters, Jacqueline A. Shuman and Pamela S. Petersheim; and his stepsister Charlene Bishop.
