He was predeceased by: his wife Pauline E. Lerch (Berger); and his parents, Lester L. Lerch and Sally Lerch (Reis). He is survived by: his sons, Allen S. Lerch and Ricky L. Lerch (Cynthia); his grandson Matthew Lerch (Paige); and his great grandchildren, Eva and Ronnie.
