He was predeceased by: his wife Ruth A. Kreiser Tabakelis (Wenger); his parents, Peter Tabakelis and Demetroula Tabakelis; and his former wife Margaret C. Tabakelis Kohl (Bausman). He is survived by: his children, John P. Tabakelis, Jr. (Peggy A.), George P. Tabakelis (Christine A.) and Rita M. Lebo (Ralph W. Lebo, Jr.); and his grandchildren, Kirsten, Theresa, Stephen, Bernadette, Alexandria, Samantha, Zachary, Stephanie, Philip, Ethan and Austin. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
