She was predeceased by: her husband Larry G. "Skip" Schappell; her parents, Paul S. Rothermel and Esther Rothermel (Barlet); her children, Larry G. Schappell, Jr. and Julia A. Schappell; and her siblings, Paul, Marvin Rothermel, Gloria Readinger (Rothermel) and Gertrude C. Paine (Rothermel).

She is survived by: her children, Heath A. Schappell, Brenda S. (Brian A. Reber) and Candy L. (David Krumanocker) of The Villages, FL; and her sister Jean Brobst (Rothermel). She is also survived by 1 granddaughter, 2 great-granddaughters, a great great granddaughter; three step granddaughters, five step great grandchildren, and four step great great grandchildren.
