He is survived by: his mother Margaret L. Leech (Reese); his wife Catherine A. Sherbine; his children, Sara Beth Kirkpatrick and Derek John Kirkpatrick; his grandchildren, Aaron Gabriel Rupp and Freya Brynn Kirkpatrick; and his sister Janis Kuminkoski Rogers. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and cousins.
