She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Caruthers and Alverna Dillon Caruthers; and her brother Clyde Caruthers. She is survived by: her husband Jodia L. Scales; her children, Robert Felker, Katherine Fay, Cynthia Baughman and Jasmine Anderson; and her siblings, Mark Antonizzi, Bill Caruthers and Barb Mandt. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
