He was predeceased by: his parents, Stanley Lee Mathews I and Vergene Mathews (Spencer); and his wife Karen Sulinn Mathews (Steim). He is survived by: his siblings, Stanley Lee Mathews II (Linda) of Apollo, G. Meade Mathews of Colorado, Leah Bohichik (John) of New Jersey and Liz Ciuca (Doug) of Vandergrift; his sister-in-law Glenna Stitt of Vandergrift; his daughter-in-law Laurie Mathews of Erie; his grandson Christopher Mathews of Erie; and his close friends, Spunky and Fozzie. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; many church friends; and his bird.
