He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry King and Ruth King (Crise); his wife Eleanor Geraldine King; and his siblings, Thomas L. King, Ruth Ann Vranesevich and Dolores King.
He is survived by: his children, Donna J. Felt of Garden City, MI, Christine E. Shaw (Joe) of Leechburg, Kevin W. King of Tarentum, Janet A. McHenry of Apollo, Susan G. Cummings (Luke) of Apollo, Gloria M. Lasher (Greg) of Leechburg, Douglas H. "Doug" King (Jodi) of Leechburg, Dennis A. "Denny" King (Anissa) of Monroeville and Scott A. King of Leechburg; and his siblings, David King (Carol) of Maryland, Keith King of Freeport, Roger King (Diane) of Ford City, Mark King (Suzie) of Apollo and Sue Hahto of Washington. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren; many great-grandchildren.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all services are private, and have been entrusted to the Curran Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Leechburg, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Sonny's memory to the American Heart Association, 444 Liberty Ave., Suite 1300, Pittsburgh, PA 15222, or a tree can be planted in Sonny's memory using the link on his obituary.
