It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Meredith Eloise Smith of Leechburg, Pennsylvania, born in Springdale, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 21, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband Alvin Smith; her son Allen Burr Sprankle; her parents, Louis Gerhardt Ludwig and Florence Wardlaw Ludwig; and her siblings, Donna Ludwig Goldbar and Richard Ludwig.
She is survived by: her children, Craig Sprankle (Judy Stubleski Sprankle), Becky Sprankle Moore (Jack) and Cindy Sprankle Arner; her daughter-in-law Pam Shaner Sprankle; her sister Cathy Ludwig Zimmer; and her grandchildren, Christopher Moore (Catherine Ricketts Moore), Adam Sprankle, Nick Sprankle, Melissa Moore Sage (Bryan), Jennifer Moore Wilcox (Eddie), Rachel Arner Joseph (Doug), Brandon Arner, Amanda Arner Zekir, Justin Sprankle, Emily Sprankle and Wesley Sprankle (Brittany Kowatch Sprankle). She is also survived by 26 great grandchildren and many loved nieces, nephews and new and old friends.
