With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John C. Lovelace of Leechburg, Pennsylvania, born in West Point, Georgia, who passed away on December 30, 2020 at the age of 94. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John C. Lovelace to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Luther Lovelace Sr. and Jessie Bell Gilbert Lovelace; his wife Mary Jean Roebuck Lovelace; his son Juan Carlos Lovelace; and his siblings, Luther Lovelace Jr., James Lovelace and Jessie B. Lovelace.
He is survived by: his daughter Carlita Lovelace Hines (Thomas) of Lower Burrell; his granddaughter Kayci G. Hines; his stepgranddaughters, Christy Gaul and Tara Sutej; his brother Elbert Lovelace of Bristol, PA; and his siblings-in-law, Betty Jane Harris of Trenton, NJ and Seymour Ware of Pittsburgh. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all services are private, and have been entrusted to the Curran Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Leechburg, PA.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial contribution may be offered in John's name to the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund.
