He was predeceased by: his parents, George Henry Bail, Jr. and Alice Eileen Bail (Roth); and his sister Beverly Kramer. He is survived by: his wife Betty Jo Bail (Claypool); his children, Brian Pitman (Angela) of Pittsburgh, Allison Bail of Bethel Park and Anthony Bail of McKees Rocks; his stepdaughter Charity Hollis of Spring Church; his stepgrandson Dylan; and his siblings, George Bail, III of Pittsburgh, Eileen Reinhart of Pittsburgh and Sherry Hoover of Carnegie. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
