He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis H. McCool and Florence McCool DeWitt (Kunkle); his stepfather Karl DeWitt; and his brother Skip DeWitt. He is survived by: his wife Gail "Andi" McCool (Moran) of Gilpin Township; his children, Amy McCleery (Greg), Melissa Walker (Del), Jennifer James (David Naple) and Matthew McCool (Sandra); his siblings, Richard DeWitt (Carol), Barbara Hummel (Ken) and Lori Wasilowski (Ed); his siblings-in-law, David Moran and Patty Dancho (Matthew); his close friend Jack "Dempsey" Trzeiak; and his pets, Abbie and Molly. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
