With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Barbara A. Shaner of Leechburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on August 29, 2023 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Dwight Vernie Artman and Bertha Jane Artman (Glass); her husband Orbin D. Shaner Jr.; her son Barry L. Shaner; her sisters, Virginia Crofutt, Kathleen Chonko, Louise "Vernie" Bell and Alberta Berger; and her sisters-in-law, Marian Robbins, Doris Johns and Hazel Spang.

She is survived by: her daughter Pamela Sprankle (Scott Jack) of Apollo; her daughter-in-law Karen Shaner of North Pole, Alaska; her grandchildren, Lee, Steven, Justin, Emily and Wesley; her great grandchildren, Kyla, Kendall, Troy, William, Emma, Wyatt A., Wyatt L., Carson, Harlow, Ozzie, Ayla and Cameron; and her sister-in-law Jean Johns. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
