He was predeceased by: his wife Erma E. Tyson (Grim); and his parents, Pius H. Tyson and Margaret E. Tyson (Mitzel). He is survived by: his children, Jerel B. Tyson and Joyce Tyson Anderson (William); his granddaughter Jennifer Anderson (Nick Lam); his great grandchild Aria Lam; and his brother G. Robert Tyson.
