He was predeceased by: his father Harry R. Shutter. He is survived by: his spouse Christy Lynn Shutter (Walters); his mother Dolores C. Shutter (Klick) of Lebanon; his children, Stephanie (Shawn Leibig) of Lebanon and Reed Shutter of Lebanon; his grandson Isaac Leibig; his brother Dennis (Barbara Shutter) of Lebanon; his mother-in-law Marie Walters of Myerstown; and his niece Erinn Shutter.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Swing for the Troops, 1014 Glenwood Lane, Lebanon, PA 17042; or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105.
