She was predeceased by: her parents, Gervase Sanders and Ruth Sanders (Weller); her husband John L. Houtz; and her siblings, Vernon Kennedy, June Ciesla and Dorothy M. Oyler.

She is survived by: her children, Gary John Houtz of Lebanon, Debra A. Houtz of Lebanon, Joseph C. Houtz of Lebanon and Lori A. Houtz of Lebanon; her grandchildren, Michelle Houtz of Lebanon and Steven John Houtz of Ephrata; and her great grandchildren, Jonathan Houtz of Ephrata and Nicole Houtz of Lebanon.
