He was predeceased by: his parents, Ostin Troain and Ruth Troain (Douple); and his siblings, John, Edward, Mary Snyder and Philomena Leed.
He is survived by: his children, Gregory Troain (Dongene), Andrea Harkleroad and Kevin Troain (Tracy); his siblings, Nicholas, Joseph Troain and Ruth Mish; and his close friend Kate Allwein. He is also survived by five grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.
