He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Swoyer and Catherine Swoyer (Arnt); and his brother Anthony Swoyer (Linda). He is survived by: his son David M. Swoyer (Sumaya Sanam); and his brothers, Joseph Swoyer (Barbara) and Andrew Swoyer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
