He was predeceased by: his parents, Reuben Hurst and Mary Hurst (Weaver). He is survived by: his spouse Lija Hurst; his sons, Wilmer L. (Susan Hurst), Marlin J. (Barb Hurst), Curvin Ray (Willa Hurst), Dean Hurst, David Hurst and Michael (Krista Hurst); and his siblings, Elvin (Helen Hurst), Vera (Claude Kurtz), Leon (Ruth Hurst) and Mary Jane (Wayne Weaver). He is also survived by five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM and at 12:00 PM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Worship Center (2384 New Holland Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601). A burial was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Weaverland Mennonite Cemetery.
