He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John E. Fernsler and Belva I. Fernsler (Bressler); his children, John Scott Fernsler and Susan Hutchins; his close friends, Thomas Arnold and Kelly; and his spouse Timothy Long. He was also cherished by seven grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.
