He was predeceased by: his parents, John Achenbach and Irene Achenbach (Solie); and his siblings, Robert Achenbach and Marion Kerkeslager. He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Achenbach (Stoner); and his children, David (Linda) and Sharon Beaver (Kevin). He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
