She was predeceased by: her parents, Hiram J. Brightbill, Sr. and Beulah Brightbill; her husband Jack L. Harter; and her brothers, Leon Brightbill and Carlin Brightbill.

She is survived by: her children, Joel G. Harter (Yomaris) and Jonelle H. Eshbach (David); her grandchildren, Daniel Bollinger, Caroline Bollinger, Claudia Bollinger, Abigail Harter and Anna Harter; and her sister Shirley McKinney.
