He was predeceased by: his wife Mary E. Stumpf (Deitz); his parents, Nicholas F. Stumpf and Catherine A. Stumpf (Arnold); and his brothers, George, William, Walter and Conrad Stumpf.
He is survived by: his children, Lucinda (Donald Hundley), Jane Walker of Pasadena, MD, Sally (Timothy Dugan) of Hershey and Herman Stumpf, Jr. (Barbara Lindsay) of Arlington, TX; his siblings, Rosemary Arnick of Lebanon, Kathleen Kimmel of Lebanon, Doris Andrews of Cleona, Carl (Wanda Stumpf) of Australia and Joseph (Linda Stumpf) of Annville; and his sisters-in-law, Rosa Stumpf of Manheim and Helen Stumpf of Lebanon. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
