He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick T. Townsend and Vera Woodards. He is survived by: his wife Alice C. Randolph Harris; his children, Dinee Harris, Lisa Boltz and Mercel Randolph, Jr.; his granddaughters, Madeline Gallaher and Juliana Falana; his siblings, Yvonne Williams, Rosolyn Williams, Corrine Lyons, Vanessa Boone, Royce Phoenix, Rhonda Hart, Wanda Townsend, Aundre Townsend and Andrea Carlock; and his uncle Ralph Hilton (Joan). He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
