He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence T. Chittister and Gertrude Fochtam Chittister. He is survived by: his wife Virginia "Ginny" L. Henry Chittister; his sister Sandra Carcella (Richard) of Downingtown; his nieces and nephews, Lauren Johnson of Centre Hall, Valerie Webb of Lewistown, Richard Carcella of Downingtown, Christopher Carcella of Glenmoore and Michael Henry of Curwensville; his grandchildren, Claire, Sam and Christopher Ruggiero; and his pets, Joey and Edgar Allan Paws.
