He was predeceased by: his parents, Warren F. Gernert and Evelyn J. Gernert. He is survived by: his siblings, David B. Gernert of Lebanon and Cheryl L. Gernert Gallo; his brother-in-law Roger L. Gallo of Wyomissing; and his sister Carol Ulrich of Reading. He is also survived by 3 nieces and a nephew.
