He was predeceased by: his father Charles R. Burkholtz; and his sister Bonnie King. He is survived by: his wife Colleen F. Burkholtz; his children, Wendy Crossgrove (Robert), Steven Erb (Ann) and Wayne Burkholtz (Diana); his grandchildren, Sharayah Crossgrove and R. J. Crossgrove; and his sisters, Magdoena Lesher, Ginny Rebuck and Susan Neyer.
