He was predeceased by: his parents, W. Earl Spitler and Josephine Mary Elizabeth Spitler (Neidich); his son Carl Samuel Spitler "Peepy"; his siblings, Richard Spitler, Gladys Lingle and Dallas Spitler; and his close friend Margie Boland (Hess).
He is survived by: his children, Steve Spitler (Angela) of Lebanon, Shari Lewis (Rich) of Hummelstown and Ashley Campo (Daniel) of New York; and his siblings, Evelyn King of Palmyra, Elesta Walborn of Fredericksburg, Bonnie Brajkovich of Newport, Joyce Kuhn of Annville and Marna Forry of Palmyra. He is also survived by many loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
