Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Geraldine leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.

She was loved and cherished by many people including : her spouse Thomas H. Balzer; and her children, Suzan McMeekin (Barry), Timothy Balzer (Andrea), Edward Balzer (Jacqueline), Thomas P. and James Balzer. She was also cherished by siblings; also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was held on Friday, June 21st 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Walter J. Zalewski Funeral Home (216 44th St, Pittsburgh, PA 15201). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, June 22nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish.
