He was predeceased by: his wife Loretta Welka (Rolewicz); his parents, John Welka and Helen Welka; and his siblings, Theresa Poloka, Albert Welka, Brownie Welka, Joseph Welka and Agnes Jarzynka.
He is survived by: his children, Nancy Stokes (Richard), Robert Welka (Babs) and Donna Marsonek (Scott); his grandchildren, Kimberly McGuire (Michael), Bradly Stokes (Colleen), Stephanie Rice (late Stephen), Adam Thomas, Amanda Kovach (Todd), Scott Marsonek (Steffanie) and Lauren Belshaw (Albert); and his great grandchildren, Sapphire, Ryan, Kaitlin, Liam, Finnigan, Brendan, Lukas, Abbigail, Stella, Sylvia, Ensley, Layla and Allison. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
